It is imperative that a student know how to construct Bohr Models of the Atom if they are to understand concepts such as oxidation number, chemical families & periods, periodicity and chemical activity.

The program takes a step by step approach to teach the student how to draw the Bohr model of the atom.

A review of the five steps - as the student clicks on the number of each step, it is applied to the model of potassium.

While there are more current models of the atom, the Bohr model is one that is most frequently used in the entry level Chemistry.

Now it's time to make models. Type in the protons & neutrons, click on buttons to produce e- energy levels and drag the electrons to their positions. Print them out and make a periodic table of Bohr models!
