Making accurate measurements is a important skill in science. This program teaches the student how to make accurate measurements when measuring distance.

How far one can carry out a measurement depends upon the calibration of the instrument. Students are taught how to calibrate instruments.

A 13 question quiz follows the program. Students click on a button to obtain a horizontal or vertical ruler which they can drag around the screen to measure objects.

Students measure a variety of objects and must select the answer that is carried out correctly as well as having the correct unit.

Scores are displayed on the screen at the end of the quiz and recorded on the hard drive.
