This program introduces the
student to moving bodies and demonstrates the application of
formulas for calculating speed, velocity and acceleration.
Relative motion is the first
concept that is covered. The fact that everything in the
Universe is moving demonstrates the importance of a frame of
reference when measuring motion.
Throughout the program, students
are given examples of speed, velocity and acceleration. As
they move through the program they must solve problems both
on the screen as well as in their Motion program
sheet.
Instructions are given on how to
rearrange formulas to solve for different
variables.
A self-grading quiz follows up the
Motion computer program.
The motion quiz consist of
multiple choice, matching, fill in the blank and true or
false.
