General Information

The media specialist is Mrs. Sandy Boyes. She is assisted by Mrs. Connie Smith.

The media center is open from 7:15 to 2:45 when school is in session.

We have over 25,000 books in our media center plus many subscription databases which we make available to the students for use at school and at home.

Students must have an official library pass and a specific assignment to come to the media center during the school day and during lunch. Passes are not required before and after school. All students must sign in and out on the media center log.

Students who are not exhibiting proper media center etiquette will be asked to leave.

A picture ID is required to check out books. Books can be put on reserve for a day or two if the student does not have his ID with him.

Students may check out two books for a period of three weeks. Books must be brought back to the media center for re-newal.

The fine for overdue books is 5 cents per school day. Weekends and holildays are not counted.

Overdue notices are sent out to the English teachers weekly.

Students may NOT check out books for other students. This is done for the protection of the students. (Students are charged for the replacement of lost or damaged books checked out to them.)

The media center computers are for school related assignments and projects. Hot Mail, chat, etc. are not allowed.
