What is the GatorTeens Program?

The Gator Teens Program is comprised of two different projects (for more information about them, follow the link):

  1. GatorTeens Mentors
  2. GatorTeens Youth Group

What is the objective of the GatorTeens?
The GatorTeens Program is a service-learning initiative that was established to promote youth volunteerism and assist students in fulfilling classroom and/or college scholarship requirements.
The objective of the GatorTeens Program is to develop the leadership of young people and to provide a means by which they can commit their energy and enthusiasm to improving the quality of life in our community.

Who can join the GatorTeens Program?
Each project of the GatorTeens Program has specific requirements:

  1. GatorTeens Mentors: Open to any student at the University of Florida who is enrolled full-time and is interested in promoting the goals of this organization.
  2. GatorTeens Youth Group: Open to any teenager in grades 6-12 that lives in Alachua County and is enrolled in public, private or alternative middle or high school.
